The Baker

My baking journey began when I was just waist high with my mom's tried-and-true chocolate chip cookie. Together would make the same recipe over and over as I learned to cream the butter just right and add the flour just so until we had the ultimate satisfying cookie.

My passion for baking now kindled, I began making everything from intricate decorated cakes to hearty apple fritters to delicate cream puffs all the while dreaming of working at a real bakery and sharing that beautiful moment when you bite into a treat so satisfying it gives you pause. Now I am living a dream I thought would take decades to come true; not only working for, but running my own bakery.

The Boss

We've all had dreams. Some come and go, and yet some persist, becoming a deep part of us. Over the years I've seen a child who enjoyed baking with mom develop into a young woman whose sense, determination, and attention to detail paved the road to just-right-amount-of-crunch biscotti, uniform marzipan, and glistening pies. The taste testing over the years has been a joy!

So remember that each delightful mouthful is, truly, part of a little girl's dream come true. I just help on the business side. :-)

The Purple Urchin

Our love of the ocean sparked our business name: we love the tide pools with their brightly colored specimens (including purple urchins!), watching seals poke their heads up, gazing at the endless waves, and the smell of the salty air.

We are both grateful for this opportunity to bring our products to our greater community.

Enjoy!
